We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Technology to join our senior leadership team and drive our organization's technology initiatives to support business growth and operational efficiency. In this strategic role, the Senior Director will be responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies, staying informed about industry advancements, and aligning technology investments with business priorities. Reporting to the CIO, with a dotted line to Division Presidents, this role will also oversee vendor management, team recruitment and development, and lead special projects on behalf of the CIO.
The Senior Director will take a leading role in crafting a long-term technology roadmap, working across teams to align technology initiatives with business goals, and ensuring successful project delivery. They will evaluate emerging technologies, encourage innovation within the organization, and lead efforts to optimize technology in line with industry trends and best practices.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Create and implement comprehensive technology strategies that align with long-term business goals, identifying opportunities for process and system improvements. Establish clear metrics to track the success of IT strategies.
Technology Evaluation and Selection: Assess new and emerging technologies and their potential impact on the industry. Recommend innovative tools and technologies to integrate into company operations.
Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and business units to ensure technology initiatives support overall business objectives. Foster a collaborative environment to promote innovation and cross-functional progress.
Project Management: Oversee technology project execution, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure project completion that meets stakeholder expectations and aligns with the business strategy.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends, developments, and best practices within the technology sector, especially as they relate to manufacturing. Encourage creativity, experimentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Leadership: Lead and motivate the technology team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and performance excellence. Prioritize forecasting critical skills and leveraging upskilling strategies to meet organizational needs.
Required Skills
5-7 years in technology leadership roles, with experience in supporting enterprise applications in industrial manufacturing settings.
Proven experience driving internal innovation and creatively solving technology challenges.
Extensive experience with complex ERP system environments.
Strong background in leading and managing highly technical IT operations and teams.
Experience in developing and executing automation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Proficiency in supporting cloud environments, CRM systems, BI/Data Analytics, integration platforms, and Agile methodologies.
Industry-specific knowledge in manufacturing technology.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated success in delivering impactful technology solutions and managing complex projects.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
