POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. Pay is based on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain client’s and facility’s equipment
• Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during season and performing scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during service calls.
• Performing simple service duties and responsibilities
• Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of client’s equipment
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments
• Performing regular preventive maintenance on equipment for pools and spas.
• Performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and small construction functions.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas
• Performing other work-related duties as assigned (i.e., cleaning of work vehicles, shop, yard, etc.)
• Required to work in all weather conditions (physical labor under adverse field conditions)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and service maintenance experience
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Experience servicing pools, spas, and portable spas.
• Experience in water chemistry for pools and spas.
• Employee is regularly required to work six days a week during peak season.
Salary : $25 - $35
