Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Recycling Sales Representative to join our industry-leading team in San Antonio, TX. If you have a passion for the environment, and a growth mindset, then this position provides a great launching point to expand on your career and competitive skills as a sales professional in the growing recycling and circularity industry. The Recycling Sales Representative must have a desire to show up every day with the motivation to create best-in-class recycling solutions for our customers. This role blends project management, relationship management, and solution development to bring landfill diverting solutions to companies in and around the San Antonio area who are interested and excited about recycling.

The Recycling Sales Representative provides an essential role in proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers, requiring an excellent level of customer engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the lead point of contact for customer account management matters with support from the local operations, billing, and dispatch team.
  • Position is responsible for meeting outbound cold calling daily quota and for meeting monthly revenue goals.
  • Establish and maintain an elevated level of customer satisfaction with internal and external customers, and build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Negotiates, updates, and renews customer service agreements to maximize profits by providing ongoing contract support.
  • Provide quotes, draft service agreements and addendums for new business, renewals & changes with existing customers with same-day turnaround.
  • Manage incoming customer requests promptly and update the CRM daily for efficient reporting on customer success.
  • Educate customers on the recycling system and creative solutions to their landfill diversion goals through onsite visits, and the application of Balcones products and services.
  • Report to the General Manager and work as a team to manage the region’s sales goals.
  • Attend industry events & trade shows within the San Antonio area.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft office suite & able to update information in the company’s Salesforce CRM and other company databases.
  • A desire and commitment to become an expert in the recycling industry.
  • An organized “people person” who enjoys communication by phone, email & in-person with a high standard of courtesy & professionalism.
  • An ability and desire to enjoy a collaborative, people-oriented culture where there is

respect for quality of life and the drive to succeed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of relevant sales experience
  • Valid Drivers license.

  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
