Scale House Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join our team. The Scale Operator will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations. This role is essential in maintaining efficient operations.

Duties

• Operate and monitor scales to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks accurately.
• Record weight data in the Jonel system for inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Assist with maintaining onsite MSHA records.
• Manage loading of materials onsite using onsite equipment.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy in weight measurements and inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely processing of orders.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Requirements

• Previous experience in scale operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with trucking used for shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate weight calculations.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods while performing duties.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $16.38 - $19.20 per hour
