Banister Nissan of Chesapeake is expanding our sales team. Our dealership is a family-owned automotive dealership that is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Automotive Sales Manager. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
As an automotive Sales Manager with Banister Automotive, you must consistently and profitably meet vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team and by forecasting sales and maintaining proper inventory levels in terms of amount and vehicle types. In addition, the Sales Manager hires, trains, and monitors team member performance; resolves customer complaints; and helps with closings when necessary while overseeing growth and development.
The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, certification, etc.), at least two years of experience in a large-volume dealership, and some supervisory or management experience. Candidates must have a strong business acumen, sales aptitude, and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets whether hit or missed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivational skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies.
- Motivate, train, and adhere to high ethical standards, while maintaining gross profit and customer service index (CSI).
- Establish sales quotas and manage overall sales goals.
- Ensure all sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Achieve monthly forecasted income and penetration levels.
- Monitors and adjusts inventory to optimize customer choice.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
