What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Banking Specialist position at Bank Five Nine?
The Business Banking Specialist is involved in business sales and service activities for Bank Five Nine that includes business deposit relationships and cash management sales and services. The position also includes coordination efforts with cash management, commercial lending, wealth management, and retail branches to ensure all appropriate products and service cross sales for business development and sales support.
Position Expectations:
SALES - 40%
Develops and cultivates business relationships to ensure sales growth and customer retention.
Profiles existing business customer relationships by developing and maintaining relationships with current customer base, as well as proactively sourcing for cross-sale opportunities.
Provides business deposit account recommendations, including referrals for non-traditional investments, Mortgages, Bank@Work, Payroll Processing, and other cash management products/services.
Pursues sales opportunities and cross sells non-mortgage related bank products and services as appropriate.
Supports Cash Management and Retail products/services to meet customers' financial needs including discussions with customers regarding online banking, remote deposit capture, merchant services, sweep accounts, business debit/credit card services, business deposit products and any other ancillary cash management services.
SERVICE - 30%
Researches and performs account and customer related changes as requested.
Works to resolve and follow up with internal and external customer issues promptly and courteously.
Contacts customers regarding new business deposit and cash management products available thru Bank Five Nine.
Provides service and training support to customers.
Serves as a primary resource for Cash Management Products (i.e., answering Cash Management questions for customers, password resets, scanner troubleshooting, etc.)
Assist with the completion of Cash Management forms and accurately enters setups and maintenance into the system.
Assists with temporary and permanent merchant capture and ACH increases.
ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONAL - 30%
Recommends process improvements and performs testing of Business procedures through C360
Effectively serves as a backup to the Cash Management Coordinator and Senior Cash Management Advisor
Follows all regulatory requirements and procedures and stays current on regulatory changes.
Ensures completion of periodic risk reviews of merchant capture/ACH customers and lower risk Cash Management customers.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Banking
A minimum of 2 years' experience in retail banking with an emphasis on account opening, product/service problem resolution and relationship development
Proficient with MS Office products including Word and Excel
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous experience with Cash Management products
Previous experience in sales and Deposit Operations
