What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician - Northern NH Region position at Bank of New Hampshire?
As a Facilities Technician with Bank of New Hampshire, you will assist with project work and oversee all activities at multiple facilities, making sure that the health and safety standards are met. Perform maintenance and repairs when they are reported via the companies work order system and utilize your skills to ensure that all needs being requested are met. Communicate daily with vendors and team members on the progress of work orders.
This position will provide facilities support for bank offices in our Northern NH Region, and will be based out of our Lincoln branch. You will be required to provide basic hand tools. The Bank will provide other tools as needed for the position/job.
Position Overview:
- Perform general maintenance and repair work including mechanical, basic electrical, basic plumbing, carpentry and painting. Performs scheduled maintenance and/or checks to include but not limited to exit and emergency lights, thermostats, and maintains accurate time on clocks and timers at assigned locations.
- Review service requests for repairs and maintenance via work order system, determines nature and extent of problem and discusses resolution with supervisor.
- Routinely visits assigned locations to check boilers, air conditioning, and other general facility conditions.
- Perform monthly audits of facilities and create work orders to repair any issues found.
- Coordinate the delivery of services from routine providers (i.e. HVAC, snow removal, landscaping, etc…) and ensures that locations are properly maintained and reports findings on a regular basis.
- Oversees and works with custom service providers engaged for projects at assigned locations to include but not limited to remodels, installations of new equipment, annual inspections, etc…
- Follows all safety rules and regulations on a daily basis.
- Performs other related duties and project work as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in a vocational trade such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, facilities maintenance, preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a position of similar duties and responsibilities; technical ability in making repairs and handling maintenance of facilities and equipment. Proficiency in the utilization of appropriate equipment and tools.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, as well as be experienced in driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Must also have access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive a personal vehicle in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Skills in common courtesy, and problem resolution. Ability to interpret and follow operating, safety, and maintenance documentation and instructions. Ability to prioritize work assignments and flexibility in dealing with changing work environment. Organized, with strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderately strenuous physical effort required in occasional lifting, carrying and moving of materials. Need for visual attention in the operation of machinery and equipment. Involves frequent standing, sitting and walking and driving. The maximum lifting required is 60 pounds which may include the use of dolly’s to move heavy loads. This position may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, masks, etc…
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Well-lighted and ventilated office environment with some time spent in supply room environment, which is less well lit, dusty, etc. Exposure to all elements of weather when performing outside duties.
