Job Summary:

The Sr. Commercial Relationship Manager (Sr. CRM) will originate and service Commercial Real Estate (CRE) relationships of substantial complexity in the Omaha market, typically loan relationships in excess of $20,000,000, with overall loan portfolio in excess of $200,000,000. The Sr. Commercial Relationship Manager will also provide situational guidance and informal coaching to more junior commercial relationship managers.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Manages an individual commercial loan portfolio that is typically greater than $200MM. Portfolio management duties include:
    1. Maintaining accurate and updated borrower and guarantor financial records as required
    2. Assuring loan covenants are addressed and/or measured in the required time frame
    3. Escalating elevated risk situations promptly and in accordance with documented policies and procedures
    4. Providing exemplary service to all clients served
  • New Business Development: Proactively develops new business by:
    1. Calling on existing clients, prospects, and centers of influence in an effort to grow loan portfolio and targeted customer base
    2. Seeking and referring new business opportunities to the bank's Consumer and Wealth Management Divisions
  • Bank & Professional Development: Pursues bank and professional development opportunities by engaging in the following:
    1. Continuing to develop a technical skill set by enrolling in internal and external commercial banking coursework
    2. Building productive relationships with associated commercial support team (i.e., Commercial Credit, Operations, Legal, etc.)
  • Maintains compliance with external regulations and internal loan policies & guidelines and completes all required regulatory training as assigned and by the prescribed due date(s)
  • Willingly takes on market, divisional, and bank level assignments, as well as other duties and projects as requested

Education and/or Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years experience
  • College degree in Business related field preferred
  • At least ten years of Commercial Banking experience required
  • Must show a consistent history of being able to self-source loan opportunities and other new business.
  • Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong credit analysis techniques
  • Strong loan evaluation skills
  • Expert knowledge of loan documentation
  • Strong knowledge of Bank regulations
