Position Summary
Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding production lines, performing necessary maintenance and changeover as needed. Openings available on 1st shift (5:30 am - 4:00 pm M-Th), 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am M-Th), and Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun 6 am-6:30 pm)
This position reports to the Production Manager
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Non-Exempt
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducts move orders
- Performs job verification close
- Pull and set-up stencils
- Checks materials for quality and prepares them for loading into the machine
- Sets up the machine for engineering builds
- Conducts cycle counting
- Ensure that regular and preventive maintenance procedures are carried out
- Prepares machine for production by gathering and loading appropriate reels and entering into inventory control system.
- Remove and put away previous reels after line change.
- Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
- Correct problems by adjusting controls, or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.
- Record operational information on specified production reports.
- Read schematics, SOPs, and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
- Load or feed panels into machines.
- Remove workpieces and parts from machinery after work is complete.
- Observe meters, gauges, and machine operations to ensure that soldering or brazing processes meet specifications.
- Select, position, align, and bolt jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and stops onto machines.
- Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operation, using air hoses, cleaning fluids, and hand tools.
- Set dials and timing controls to regulate electrical current, gas flow pressure, heating/cooling cycles, and shut-off

Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of safe machine operation practices.
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Knowledge of basic math/calculations.
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle or Optel preferred

- Constantly bending neck to monitor machine operations, use scopes for precision work and perform inspections.
- Frequently moves about the area to monitor the machine, set up reels, replace reels, etc.
- Occasionally bends and stoops to retrieve some reel and perform some start up aspects.
- Occasionally may crouch or squat to secure test fixtures in or remove from lift.
- Constantly reaches at or below shoulder level to operate machine controls and hand tools, obtain parts and supplies, etc.
- Occasionally stands stationary to load reels and panels, make adjustments, replace reels, etc.
- Constantly lifting, holding and/or carrying various objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
