We're hiring!

We have an immediate need for a full-time Line Operator. This position's regularly scheduled shift is second shift; typically Monday through Thursday, 3:20 PM - 12:50 AM.

Your purpose is to provide high-quality, cost-effective products to our customers. This is achieved by operating equipment safely and effectively, auditing the product and process to ensure 100% accuracy, and positively contributing to our team environment. Attention to detail, critical-thinking to identify and resolve issues, and a strong commitment to safety are just a few of the key skills essential for success in this role.

A few of the specific responsibilities include:

• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.

•Understand and comply with safe working procedures including but not limited to wearing correct PPE, knowing emergency evacuation procedures, and utilizing safe lifting techniques.

•Maintain sanitary conditions on the line.

•Assist Lead Line Operator and Maintenance Technician in the changeover of equipment

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Functional Skills:

  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA practices
  • Mathematical skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Able to operate light and heavy equipment including use of forklift
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and be flexible in job roles
  • Critical-thinking to consider possible causes of an issue and act quickly•

Work Environment

  • The job requires exposure to a manufacturing facility requiring a heightened awareness of safety. There will be exposure to heat, irritant chemicals, operating machinery and noise.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Communicates orally and electronically with co-workers, clients and vendors in face-to-face, one-on-one, e-mail, telephone or group settings.
  • The employee regularly must be able to complete the following activities in the course of his/her job: working from heights, lifting, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, feeling, grasping, talking, hearing within normal ranges, and repetitive motion.
  • The position requires Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and or a 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
