Facilities Laborer

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for basic building and grounds maintenance, as well as acting as a general laborer around the plant property.

Schedule - Monday-Friday 6:30AM - 3PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general laborer duties around the plant, including digging/dirt work, assisting in site preparation, and other miscellaneous project assistance throughout the plant.
• Perform basic outdoor facility upkeep and repairs including: mowing, edging, raking, mulching, weeding, trimming, painting, sweeping, cleaning
• Perform basic indoor facility upkeep and repairs including: painting, changing air filters, changing light bulbs
• As needed, perform appropriate upkeep and preventive maintenance to ensure peak performance of equipment needed to perform daily activities
• As needed, attempt equipment repairs, where applicable
• Assist as needed with any re-layouts of production and office environments; this may include flexing jobs hours to minimize productivity disruptions
• Comply with all site safety requirements and work with safety as the number one priority
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Detail oriented.
• Able to work with a team or individually. Must be self-motivated.
• Able to follow direction.
• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to drive a standard transmission large vehicle.
• Ability to move, run, and work at a fast pace.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information in English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in facility maintenance preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and outdoors environment. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
