What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Bartender and Support Staff position at Barrel Back Restaurant?
Hotel Walloon Resort is looking for highly motivated and personable seasonal Event Bar Staff who has a passion and desire to learn and work at events of all sizes and types. This is a seasonal position for the summer and will mostly consist of weekend hours (Friday-Sunday). Most staff will work both bartending and support positions throughout the event season. Both positions receive an hourly wage and tips during events.
Bartender
Responsibilities:
· Providing an excellent experience for all guests
· Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
· Setting up and breaking down event bar
· Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications
· Keep positive attitude and team spirit
· Report any incidents to Coordinator or Supervisor
· Operate POS system and/or utilize tally sheet
· Work Bar Support when needed. Always focused on lateral service and teamwork
· Abide by all policies and safety procedures
Job Qualifications:
· Ability to perform job duties indoors and outdoors during inclement weather if needed (including summer heat and rain)
· Ability to lift up to 30lbs
· Ability to work shifts on your feet for multiple hours at a time
· Bartending experience
· Customer service experience
· TIPs certified is a plus but not required, opportunities to become TIPs certified may be available
· Attention to detail
· Ability to commute to Walloon Lake, MI
Bar Support
Responsibilities:
· Set up and break down event bar
· Assist with collecting, cleaning, polishing, and restocking glassware
· Restock ice, garnishes, ingredients, or beverages from storage to event bar
· Maintain a clear and organized work area during events
· Assist bartenders and other event staff as needed
· Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
· Keep positive attitude and team mentality
· Report any incidents to Coordinator or Supervisor
· Abide by all policies and safety procedures
Job Qualifications:
· Ability to perform job duties indoors and outdoors during inclement weather if needed (including summer heat, and rain)
· Ability to lift up to 30lbs
· Ability to work shifts on your feet for multiple hours at a time
· Customer service experience a plus but not required
· Bar Support experience is a plus but not required
· Detail oriented
