Duties

The duties of this hands-on job will include installing, repairing, maintaining and refurbishing soybean handling and processing equipment. Industrial Maintenance Technicians will work extended hours and callbacks on short notice. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Take responsibility for safe work behavior
• Properly maintain work areas and company issued property
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks per CMMS
• Removal and installation of motors, blowers, and various equipment
• Termination of wire at components
• Troubleshooting of 480-volt 3-phase electrical distribution systems
• Troubleshooting of control systems
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment
• Upgrading of outdated systems and components
• Prioritize tasks with the supervisor
• Recommend changes, modifications, or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance
• Maintain facility electrical systems/components
• Capable of effectively communicating with program/software providers to troubleshoot electronics and automation
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a processing plant, refinery, mill, or elevator is preferred
• Available to work off hours and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Physical requirements
• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
