Sales Team Assistant - FT

Bascom Maple Farms is looking for a Sales Team Assistant to work with our sales team. If you're great at juggling multiple tasks and thrive in a busy atmosphere, this may be the career for you!

What You'll Do:

• Provide administrative support for Private Label and Bulk Sales Managers
• Coordinate with brokers and sales managers to ensure the most updated information is available.
• On-board new customers and ensure documentation and notes are up to date.
• Communicate regularly with brokers to develop and maintain relationships, provide product education, and assist managers with monitoring broker sales performance.
• Update and provide product information and pricing to brokers, customers, distributors, and leads.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers; maintain regular contact with brokers and customers.
• Follow up on current leads, create new leads, and close sales under the direction of sales directors.
• Complete new customer forms and work with other departments to ensure an effective on-boarding process for new accounts.
• Update GDSN network on 1WorldSync to publish items to customers’ GLN.
• Update and maintain IX-One database, including product information and images.
• Work with sales team to provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Assemble and communicate product update letters as needed.
• Assist with trade shows as requested.
• Complete special projects as needed.
• Other tasks as requested.

What You Need:

• Some College in related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 2-3 years’ sales experience required; food distribution industry preferred
• Strong computer skills-Microsoft Office, CRM
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proofreading skills
• Valid driver’s license

You must be a team player and able to work independently and interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and customers. You must have creative thinking skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.

This position is performed primarily in an office setting and consistent in-office attendance is required; it also requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
