What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Bartender position at Basecamp Eureka Springs?
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista/Bartender to join our team for our restaurant and event venue opening December 13th. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional experience. The hours will primarily be 10-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Training will be provided and pay is based on experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Provide recommendations on drink selections and promote daily specials to enhance sales.
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, recipes, and techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or bartending is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage with customers.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 21 years or older due to alcohol service regulations.
- A passion for coffee preparation is a plus, enhancing the beverage offerings available to guests.
Pay will be a combination of hourly and tips. Pay is based on experience.
