In This Position You Will Provide Direction To All Food Service Staff. This Includes, But Is Not Limited To The Following
- Discuss daily plans for future production setups, patient tray line, cafeteria and sanitation in all areas;
- Ensure that department and hospital goals are met on a daily basis;
- Exhibit leadership qualities that will inspire, motivate and develop the department into a cohesive group;
- Work as a supportive member with the Food Service Director and other leaders;
- Patient / customer satisfaction is a priority by making In-room dining service successful and ensuring patients receive the food they ordered (according to their diets) including quality, presentation, food temperature and accuracy of trays;
- Be able to coach, discipline appropriately; acknowledge employees' successes, address and answer employee's questions in a timely manner.
- Be able to work weekends and other shifts to meet state health guidelines.
- Professionally qualified Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and has a current certification in Serve Safe by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
- Current member of the Association Nutritional Food Professional and maintains continue education credits to meet the certification requirements.
- Have knowledge in production, food safety, and sanitation and customer service.
- Requires having the ability to manage workflow, to communicate and interact positively with co-workers, hospital staff, visitors and patients.
- Good communication skills and computer knowledge is required.
- Minimum of three to five (5-7) years' verifiable supervisory experience preferred in organizing work forces to obtain budgeting and production goals.
- Must be able to identify and implement cost savings in food and productivity.
- Be able to make independent decisions on day-to-day activities and implement suggestions/ideas.
- Having healthcare food service experience is a must.
