Salary Range: $83,200 - $93,600 per year

Location: Newark, CA - Hybrid Role

Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary:

We seek a team player who will work collaboratively and effectively with various departments within the organization. You will need strong problem-solving skills, customer-facing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to proactively complete tasks in a timely manner. This position requires general ledger accounting, customer invoicing and collection experience, and a strong knowledge of NetSuite.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform customer invoicing daily and review any pending labor or materials approved for billing.
• Maintain up-to-date customer records, including billing rules and payment terms.
• Assist with month-end close, including general ledger accounts reconciliation, bank accounts reconciliation, and accruals.
• Participate in the ongoing improvement of processes and procedures.
• Assist in additional projects, including accounting system improvements and sandbox testing.
• Work with various departments, including project leads and purchasing.
• Perform ongoing review of the accounts receivable aging and proactively send reminders for collection.
• Work closely with the accounting team on possible payment application issues and resolution.
• Assess any possible escalation of past-due invoices with the accounting manager.
• Perform monthly reviews of the allowance for doubtful accounts and make recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, with 3-10 years of experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Adaptable and able to anticipate changes to provide the best possible customer experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player; willingness to step in and help the team
• Proficient MS Office skills (Excel)
• Experience with NetSuite is required.
