Hiring for an Expo position (food expeditor) to work in a fast-paced environment! The Expo is the person who gets orders out to the customers fast and efficiently. The expo is the liaison between the kitchen staff and the front of house!
Responsibilities of the Expo
- The expeditor ensures that no orders are lost, forgotten, or delayed.
- Process orders quickly and communicates to
- the kitchen and server staff
- Organizes ticket orders and helps the kitchen staff to prioritize outgoing meals.
- Maintain quality control.
- The expeditor is the final line of defense for quality control of the food.
- Directs the delivery of food to tables.
Requirements and skills for successful Expos
- Experience working in a restaurant is a huge plus
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Outstanding multi-tasking abilities
- A customer-oriented approach
