EDD Analyst II

JOB SUMMARY:

The position of EDD Analyst involves on-going EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) reviews and investigations utilizing the Verafin Automated BSA/AML monitoring system. The analyst will make recommendations to either initiate a case investigation or adjustments to risk levels based on results of EDD Findings. Applicant must be able to perform additional duties as assigned by the BSA Officer which may include, Verafin Alert/Case Investigations, OFAC Reviews and 314a research as needed. Applicant must have impeccable writing skills in order to communicate investigation findings in well written summaries. Must be a detail-oriented person as well as someone who can maintain confidentiality at all times. In this position you will communicate directly with branch personnel regarding CDD/EDD compliance. The candidate most possesses knowledge of CIP, KYC and CDD rules to perform minimum required assignments as we as work independently with minimal supervision.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform and document Enhanced Due Diligence reviews of High-Risk customers in Verafin.

· Monitor risk and perform risk runs.

· Quality Control reviewer of completed Enhanced Due Diligence reviews.

· Review of generated CDD/EDD monthly alerts.

· Review monthly worklist assignments for suspicious activity as directed by the BSA Officer.

· Perform Risk Analysis in Verafin to determine risk rating of customer.

· Perform OFAC & 314a research of potential hits as needed.

· Participate in Annual BSA Training courses on-line and/or in classroom format.

· Stay abreast of changing BSA/AML rules & regulations and become familiar with all aspects of the FFIEC BSA/AML Examination Manual.

· Assist the Assistant BSA Officer or BSA Officer with special projects, such as, documentation preparation pertaining to internal and external audits, as well as regulatory exams, as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Minimum three years of Banking Experience (BSA, EDD Analyst or relevant)

· Strong understanding of the Verafin BSA/AML System.

· Confidentiality must be maintained at all times

· All applicants should be well versed with Banking Rules and Regulations

· Experience with Jack Henry Associates is required

· Strong verbal, and written communication skills

· Excellent attention to detail and procedures

· Proven ability to meet and exceed strict daily and monthly deadlines.

· Ability to deal effectively with quickly changing priorities and multiple tasks.

· Strong team player with the ability to maintain excellent relationships with internal/external co-workers.

· Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
