What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse (RN) Willing to Train!!! position at Beach Garden Rehab & Nursing Center?
The Wound Care RN will be responsible for evaluating, assessing and documenting skin and wound conditions and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols. Additionally, the successful candidate will have great communication skills to interact with physicians, families and nursing staff.

Some Responsibilities:
- Assessing skin and wound conditions
- Developing plans of care
- Implementing orders and treatments
- Evaluating progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
- Evaluate new admissions
- Document status and care plans
- Notify physician and family of changes
- Conduct staff education
Requirements:
- Current NY RN license
- 2 years' experience in care and treatment of wounds
- In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
- Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for prevention and care of wounds
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed on tasks and collaborate with all departments
