What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Project Manager position at Beacon Hill?
We are looking for a rising IT Project Manager! They will be tasked with building relationships throughout the organization and providing support to internal customers. The majority of the projects this person will manage with be within IT, although there will be some outside of that including engineering and manufacturing. They will be facilitating project meetings, providing status updates, resource availability, project changes, and risks. They will use a variety of tools to manage projects and tasks and will need to drive to ensure tasks are completed on schedule. The Project Manager will be responsible for documenting project notes, processes and procedures. We are looking for someone that has knowledge in the IT field, has a natural ability to lead people and has a passion to grow into a high-level Project Manager.
Required Skills:
- 2 years' experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator
- Must have the ability to facilitate project meetings, provide status updates, and drive tasks to completion
- Relationship building is a critical skill set
- Strong communication skills to interact with project teams, IT leadership and staff, plant leadership and business leaders
- Must have some knowledge within Information Technology, ideally infrastructure
- Knowledge of Agile project management methodology
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and project life cycle phases
- Needs to have critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Associates degree or higher education
Desired Skills:
- PMP certification or pursuing it
- Experience utilizing standard tools such as Visio, Excel, MS Project, and/or MS Planner
- Knowledge of Scrum framework
