Bear River Health At Walloon Lake is Hiring a Kitchen Staff Near Gaylord, MI

Dining Services is responsible for the preparation and serving of all meals, as well as, managing the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. Dining Services will insure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. Dining Services will practice time management techniques, and insure the highest possible client satisfaction. This position will float between Gaylord & Boyne Falls.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Insure that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Follow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to insure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed.
  • Plan, implement, and review all breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
  • Prepare all local and state reports as directed or required.
  • Implement strategies to create an atmosphere that will attract clients and staff.
  • Represent the food service program while coordinating with supervising nutritionist.
  • Understand and implement safety procedures as required by the health department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures all meeting rooms and bathrooms that will service the meals are stocked, cleaned and available for scheduled use.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School DiplomaExperience in food service preparation

ServSafe Certificate or the ability to obtain
