Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Bear’s Furniture & Mattress is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our team. This role combines warehouse duties with delivery driving, supporting our 5 stores in Franklin, Cranberry, Meadville and Greenville, PA. Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate/Driver will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including order picking and packing, maintaining a well-organized warehouse, and safely transporting products between store locations. This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick and pack products for shipment or store restocking, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Build and assemble pallets for storage and transport
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and reach trucks, to move materials within the warehouse
- Assist with inventory management by conducting stock checks and reporting any discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Drive between store locations to transport products as needed, following all safety and delivery protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to achieve daily goals and optimize workflow
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred, but not required
- Experience operating heavy machinery, including forklifts, is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly during shifts
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Warehouse experience (3 years preferred)
