Speech Therapist

Job Title: Speech Therapist - Full Time

Location: Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Melbourne, FL

Shift: Day Shift

Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in acquiring adaptive communication devices and provide resident instruction on their use.
• Tailor activities to meet the individual needs of residents, taking into account their physical, mental, and emotional capacities.
• Consult with rehabilitation team members to create personalized therapeutic regimens based on each resident's unique needs and abilities.
• Instruct residents in essential skills and techniques for active participation in activities, and regularly assess progress, attitudes, and behaviors in relation to their rehabilitative potential.
• Adapt programs as needed to reflect the evolving needs of residents.
• Actively engage in resident care, staffing, and relevant meetings to ensure optimal treatment and outcomes.
• Lead training initiatives and educate medical, nursing, and support staff on speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Supervise support personnel according to state and professional standards.
• Ensure residents and their families receive the highest level of service in a compassionate, respectful environment that honors their individual needs and rights.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology curriculum certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as required by the state of Florida.
• Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
