Van Driver Key Duties
- Drives facility van for transporting residents to and from appointments in a safe and timely manner.
- Pre-trip inspection of the vehicle at the beginning of your shift for safety.
- Operate the vehicle within the limits of all laws and obey all traffic laws.
- Assists residents and other passengers (seating, seat belts, special equipment, etc.) to provide safe loading and unloading from vehicles.
- Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Clean driving history.
- Communicate professionally with all residents, family members, staff, and visitors on the phone and in-person.
- Excellent customer service skills. Organized and manages time wisely.
