As a Lead Social Skills Training Technician you will play a key role in supporting the Social Skills program. Your primary responsibility is to help individuals improve their interpersonal relationships through a therapeutic approach that focuses on both verbal and nonverbal behaviors commonly seen in social interactions. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and development of social skills training sessions, work closely with participants to support their progress, and coordinate daily activities. You will also work alongside the Social Skills Supervisor and collaborate with other Behavior Technicians, ensuring that program goals are met and clients receive consistent, high-quality support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct services and multiple functions of the Clinical Department at Behavior Genius. Behavior Technicians are Clinical professionals who will display a compassionate nature, empathy, and discretion in their work.
Here is what you can expect.
- Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans.
- Communicate clinical updates to the Clinical Supervisor via session notes.
- Model strategies utilized to ensure that parents are able to implement teaching strategies both during and outside of therapy sessions.
- Provide case coverage for other Behavior Technicians in the Treatment Center as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with opening/closing of the Treatment Center.
- Provide coverage to administrative staff when they are out of office, and provide breaks for Behavior Technicians as needed.
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Enforce dress code policy and other policies related to Behavior Technicians.
- Case coverage and assisting with new case start-ups.
- Check and replace cleaning supplies needed.
- Hand sanitizer/soap dispensers, hand sanitizer wipes, disinfectant/all-purpose cleaning spray, paper towels, tissue boxes, Tork brand toilet paper.
- Create stimuli and material as needed for clients and teams
- Promote a positive, safe, and friendly work environment in our Treatment Center.
- Provide ongoing clinical overlaps in the Treatment Center.
- Facilitate and administer seasonal camps.
- Coordinate/Assist with shadow sessions during "meet and greet" with new Behavior Technicians.
- Provide walk-thru tours of our Treatment Center for families and new Behavior Technicians.
- Attend and assist with facilitation of “update meetings” related to our Treatment Center.
- Ensure the curriculum is being followed and escalate any concerns or recommendations for change to management.
- Responsible for the coordination and assignment of any and all program-specific changes and or client facing-programs.
- Review and approve events and activities related to the program (e.g. birthdays, community outings, special events, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- No experience is required. Experience (formal or informal) with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities is a plus!
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally with the consumer and peers/staff.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals in and outside of the field.
- An effective communicator in both verbal and written formats.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to the required standard.
