Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or variations based on seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management for timely replenishment.
- Provide assistance in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food items are prepared to perfection.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a kitchen environment, is preferred.
- Strong skills in meal preparation, with a focus on pizza making techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
