JEM Air Holdings dba BellAir is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead our maintenance operations and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
This is a Part 119 leadership role requiring hands-on management of our maintenance program. The position will be based at our hangar in Sanford, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 135 & Part 91) and company policies.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to maximize aircraft availability.
- Manage aircraft inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Maintain and oversee records, logbooks, and documentation per FAA and company standards.
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot to support flight scheduling and operational needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the FAA, vendors, and maintenance personnel.
- Supervise and lead maintenance staff, ensuring training and certifications are up to date.
- Oversee vendor relationships, parts procurement, and budget management for maintenance operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Certification required; IA (Inspection Authorization) preferred.
- 5 years in an FAA-certified DOM role, with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of 14 CFR Part 135 and Part 91 maintenance regulations.
- Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating with flight operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and aircraft logbook documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to oversee complex repairs.
- Experience with Hawker 800XP and/or Citation X aircraft is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
