Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/toddler assistant teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. The assistant teacher will be fostering social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, communicating with families
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and hands-on activities.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction.
- Monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the overall goals of the program.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a daycare or a setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in toddler care or babysitting is highly desirable.
- A passion for educating young minds and supporting their growth through play-based learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.28 - $20.57 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
