Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant/support teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves supporting lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes the development of each child's social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected.
- Support children's individual learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. -Support/cover the classroom while lead teachers are doing planning/portfolio and providing breaks.
Requirements
- A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students/children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and toddler care practices.
- Ability to effectively engage students in meaningful activities.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Flexibility in supporting birth to 5 years old.
