TITLE: DISTRICT LITERACY LEADERSHIP TEAM (DLLT)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Implementation and monitoring of the K-5 ELA Curriculum
The purpose of the District Literacy Leadership Team (DLLT) is to plan for the support of the new K-5 Wonders curriculum and instructional practices, continue with professional development support, and monitor progress toward intended results.
REPRESENTATION SOUGHT:
- Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
- Memorial School Principal or Assistant Principal
- Elementary School Principal or Assistant Principal
- Literacy Specialists
- 6 Classroom Teachers (one from each grade)
- 3 Special Education Teachers (1 from each school)
- 1 ESL Teacher
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in tasks associated with identified scope of work: * Use core, supplemental, and intervention literacy curricula in a multi-tiered instructional model at each grade level effectively and strategically * Collaborate through shared knowledge, skills, language and collaboration among teachers based on the essential components of literacy and evidence-based instructional practices
- Serves as a liason to colleagues regarding informational practices
- Represent other teachers in the process
2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR COMMITMENT:
- One monthly meeting over the course of the school year - during the school day - release time/subs provided
- Willingness to complete work in between meeting dates as described above
SALARY: Per hour stipend at the BTA contracted rate (for any out of school time work)
