TERMS / BENEFITS : TERMS & BENEFITS : 10 month position, 40 hours / week; medical, dental, vision, life benefits; 403(b); 10 sick days and 2 personal days; preschool / child care discounts; mandatory participation in Arizona State Retirement System.
SUMMARY : Assists in the supervision of students on campus before and after school, during recess, lunch, and other break periods during the school day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Campus Monitor :
- Monitor students on the campus before, during and after school, maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitor students during recess, lunch and break periods, maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitor students awaiting school bus transportation, maintaining a safe environment.
- Assist in monitoring campus ingress to ensure that all visitors have valid purposes for being on the school campus.
- Censor unsafe and unacceptable activities in accordance with the rules and standards established by the school's faculty through discussions with the students involved and, if necessary, refer students to appropriate certified personnel.
- Assist in facilitating appropriate campus activities. Report unsafe practices and equipment to appropriate certified personnel.
- Assist students injured during campus activities by immediate notification to supervisory certified personnel.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
