Job Description:
A Yard Driver is responsible for pulling containers into dock doors to be unloaded and then out of dock doors to park in the yard. A Forklift Driver the loading, unloading, and moving of palletized loads throughout the warehouse. Primary duties for this role are moving containers in the yard, performing local deliveries as needed, loading/unloading trucks, performing consolidation, performing down stacks, and picking orders. Approximately 80% of this role will be in the warehouse, on a forklift.

Key Responsibilities
- Move containers in and out of dock doors at the direction of inbound management
- Performing local deliveries and transfers
- Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles
- Moving pallet-packed materials around the warehouse or storage facility
- Checking loads are secure
- Picking transfer and/or customer orders
- Consolidating palletized products throughout the warehouse
- Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Following written instructions and keeping records
- Adhering to health and safety regulations
- Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
- Other duties as needed per the direction of your manager.

Qualifications
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Experience moving trailers and/or containers with a yard truck and/or tractor.
- Ability to use a barcode scanner.
- Knowledge of industry safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long hours.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, squat, stand, kneel, and bend without assistance.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Must be able to safely and effectively pass forklift training and certification.
Expected Background
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDL-A preferred but not mandatory.
