Berkeley College, with campuses located in New Jersey metropolitan area, seeks a full-time faculty member to teach various courses in its Nursing programs. Position includes teaching theory and skills practice laboratory classes at the Woodland Park, NJ, location and may include supervising students during their off-site clinical experiences. Teaching assignments vary by term and may include teaching and sharing responsibilities for the specialty classes.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching and advising students
- Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches
- Maintaining and submitting appropriate individual student records
- Maintaining office hours
- Participating in College-wide activities such as faculty day and graduation
- Other duties as assigned
Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree in nursing preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience and a minimum of 3 years' formal teaching experience in an accredited nursing program. A current, and unencumbered, NJ Registered Nurse License is also required. Applicants must also have documentation showing that they have taken courses in, or have professional or clinical experience, in the specific areas of teaching responsibility.
