BerryDunn is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Waltham, MA

Overview

BerryDunn is seeking an Administrative Assistant with knowledge of reception duties and overall front office activities for our Waltham Office. The Administrative Assistant will organize office communication and activities on a day-to-day basis. This individual’s primary responsibilities include handling incoming calls and visitors while maintaining office common areas and facilitating meetings. Responsibilities within the company will be added to this entry level position with continued experience and growth. Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and have demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy office. This position is planned to sit in our Waltham, MA office location. You will report to Waltham Office Manager.

Responsibilities

You Will:

  • Answer incoming phone calls 
  • Impeccably maintain the lobby and conference rooms as to make a favorable first impression on visitors 
  • Greet all incoming clients (including getting drinks, hanging coats, talking, and assisting clients as needed) 
  • Takes and retrieves messages for various team members 
  • Distribute incoming mail and UPS, FedEx, faxes, etc. 
  • Review team schedules via the Outlook Calendar daily 
  • Support team members as needed (including scheduling appointments, setting up conference rooms, etc.) 
  • Type various correspondence: copy, assemble and mail, prepare priority mail, FedEx, etc. Call delivery vendor, as needed 
  • Purchase miscellaneous items for firm (groceries, flowers, etc.) 
  • Maintain office supplies & work with Office Manager and vendors to negotiate the best prices 
  • Be cross trained as back-up for other Administrative Team members 
  • Assemble financial statements and assist with the various needs of the assurance team 
  • Prepare client engagement letters 
  • Assist with administrative tax processing of tax returns during busiest times, as requested

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • Good planning and organizational skills 
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and manner 
  • Excellent technology and software skills; knowledge of Office 365 Software: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritize work and to be a proactive self-starter 

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $22/hour - $25/hour. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
