Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document client health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with mobility needs.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, particularly in settings such as teaching hospitals, inpatient care, or outpatient services.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and trauma centers (Level I & II) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles is essential for effectively supporting older adults.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
