Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultations: Meet with potential clients to understand their vision, assess site conditions, and develop creative, functional design concepts.
- Landscape Design & Planning: Create detailed designs that balance client needs, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability, including both hardscape and softscape elements.
- Project Management: Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless execution of designs, overseeing projects from initial planning to completion.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular updates with clients and team members to keep projects on track, address any concerns, and adjust designs as needed.
- Design Software: Utilize CAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar software to produce accurate and visually compelling landscape plans.
- Plant & Hardscape Expertise: Apply a strong understanding of plant species, hardscape materials, and construction techniques suited for New England’s climate.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Modify designs based on site conditions and collaborate with production teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Estimating & Budgeting: Develop cost estimates for projects to ensure designs align with client budgets and company profitability goals.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
- Industry Engagement: Attend landscape industry events and trade shows to stay up to date on new technology, plant varieties, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven sales ability with experience producing profitable and high-quality landscape projects.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, offering creative and functional solutions.
- Experience with CAD software and other design tools.
- Extensive plant knowledge and familiarity with hardscape materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the production team.
- Adaptability to adjust designs based on client feedback or site conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design (preferred).
- Site and project layout experience with strong attention to detail.
- Comprehensive landscape construction knowledge and understanding of installation processes.
- Experience estimating landscape projects and preparing proposals.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
