Job Summary
A Maintenance II is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance II will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance II be called upon to do include:
Role and Responsibilities
- Routine inspection of building, grounds and equipment.
- Fire extinguishers
- Changing Light bulbs
- Hanging signs
- Hanging bulletin boards/pictures
- Check emergency lights
- Dock Doors/Plates
- Troubleshooting: Identify issues and determine the best way to fix them.
- Minor electrical; switches/outlets.
- Minor plumbing; leaking pipes, sinks, toilet repairs.
- Move equipment to staging area for repairs (forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks).
- Minor building repairs; fixing drywall, painting, repairing doors, replacing door locks, warehouse floors.
- Fix Racking or add when needed.
- Working with management, ordering supplies needed for building or repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance Plan/Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
- Scanner/Printer maintenance; sending scanner for repairs – keeping records updated.
- Keep maintenance area well organized.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing or electrician experience is strongly preferred.
- A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
- Must be able to operate Order Picker/Reach Truck/Scissor Lift (or be willing to learn).
- Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Communicates effectively.
- Good organizational skills.
- Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 50 pounds.
- Must not be afraid of heights.

Hours:
Monday – Friday, - 8 hour shifts will vary depending on projects and needs. (Overtime may be required).
