This is 12 months contract Role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance Framework Development: Partner with stakeholders to design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with the Global Seeds Operations Business needs, covering areas such as data quality, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data privacy.
- Data Quality Management: Define data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring processes to evaluate and enhance the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of seed-related data across systems and operations.
- Metadata Management: Create and maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries to organize seed data assets, such as product attributes, classifications, and relationships, ensuring data lineage, traceability, and easy discoverability.
- Data Privacy and Security: Establish and enforce data privacy and security measures to safeguard sensitive seed data against unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse, ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and corporate policies.
- Data Governance Compliance: Oversee compliance with internal data governance policies, external regulations, and industry standards, conducting regular audits and assessments, and working with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with GSO data domain teams, R&D, IT, and Commercial departments to understand data needs, align data governance efforts with business priorities, and advocate for data stewardship best practices.
- Change Management and Training: Develop and implement training programs, communication materials, and change management strategies to raise awareness of data governance, drive adoption, and encourage accountability, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, preferably within the agriculture or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices, with hands-on experience implementing governance initiatives and tools.
- Knowledge of seed industry terminology, global supply chain operations, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Expertise in data quality assessment, metadata management, and data privacy and security practices.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus on data governance priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data governance challenges.
