Command Digital is seeking a Digital Print Operator (Canon Titan) for our 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
As a Digital Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Canon Titan digital printing equipment to produce top-quality packaging materials. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for printing technology to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate digital presses for print jobs, ensuring proper quality and color standards are achieved throughout each run.
- Monitor print quality throughout the production process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on printing equipment to keep it in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance technicians to resolve technical problems. Coordinate with production team members to prioritize and schedule print jobs to meet deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality control.
- Coordinate with the Digital Pressroom Manager to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize schedule to meet deadline changes and updates.
- Visually inspect images for artefacts (banding, mottling, etc.) and for color shifts during printing, and make any adjustments as necessary.
- Make sure images are properly aligned to the sheet in order to ensure consistent cutting, die-cutting, sewing, etc. Properly perform any necessary color calibrations.
- Maintain proper daily care of machinery, following all safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Prior digital printing experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Having some knowledge of graphic arts and printing industry is very beneficial to this position.
- Working knowledge of digital printing procedures.
- This position also requires a mechanical background, the ability to work independently and good working knowledge of the computer
