JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience: Six months experience in warehouse or supply distribution related fields. Healthcare experience preferred.
Required Licenses / Certifications: Must possess and maintain a current, valid Idaho driver's license along with a clean driving record.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Duties require good language, math and reasoning skills. Computer skills preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The basic purpose of the job is to process requisitions to create and place purchase orders for supplies and equipment, Backorder follow up, invoice discrepancy resolution, all in a timely manner to assure that customers at Bingham Memorial Hospital and Idaho Doctors Hospital have the supplies and equipment needed to accomplish their jobs.
Performs, as assigned, non-stock product purchases including office supplies, effectively utilizing manual and automated systems tools in compliance with Hospital and Department Policy and Procedure. Performs product storeroom inventory orders including office supplies, effectively utilizing manual and automated systems tools in compliance with hospital and Department Policy and Procedure. Verifies correct pricing, quantities and updates system files to keep information correct and up to date. Assists departments with researching vendors and items for new and or non-stock purchases and verifies contracts and pricing etc. prior to placing orders. Works closely with receiving to reconcile shipping discrepancies. Research, follow-up and communicates backorder information to customers in a timely manner. Research, reconcile and follow-up on invoice discrepancies in conjunction with Accounts Payable in a timely manner. Maintains work areas in a clean and organized manner. Maintains a current and valid driver’s license. Assists department manager with special assignments such as performing annual inventory, etc. Helps and understands how to perform other departmental job duties to cover for vacations, illnesses, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
