Scientist I
Position Summary
A Scientist I is responsible for initiating, directing and executing scientific research and/or development strategies for BioFire Defense through a research staff or individual studies. A Scientist I investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, productions and problems. A Scientist I is familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures including PCR, RT-PCR real-time PCR, and use of fluorescence-based nucleic acid detection techniques. A Scientist I authors internal study reports to support research and development activities.
A Scientist is expected to interact and work with IT, Software Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams. Strong verbal, presentation, and technical writing skills are necessary to be successful.
Education and Experience
Ph.D. degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in a research and/or development environment.

Salary : $100 - $110
