We are seeking a reliable and responsible Transportation Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for individuals or goods, depending on the specific role. As a Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for operating vehicles and ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers or goods while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport passengers or goods to various locations, ensuring adherence to designated routes, schedules, and timeframes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, fuel levels, and cleanliness.
- Ensure that all safety regulations and traffic laws are followed during transportation.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, including loading and unloading luggage, packages, or mobility aids when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment during the journey.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including start and end times, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately and complete necessary paperwork.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, ensuring it is presentable and in good working condition at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers or supervisors regarding delays, accidents, or any issues that may arise during transportation.
- Follow company policies regarding breaks, rest periods, and work schedules to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with passengers or clients.
Education Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Depending on the type of vehicle, a commercial drivers license (CDL) or other required certifications may be necessary.
- Ability to be insured by company via MVR check.
- Previous experience as a driver or in a transportation-related role is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and driving techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate using maps, GPS, or other navigation tools.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to lift, load, and unload items, up to 50 pounds as required.
- Ability to bend, twist, and climb to assist with passenger or cargo handling.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
- Must have good vision, hearing, and the physical capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.
