What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer position at BK Technologies Inc?
Position Summary: This position is responsible for all aspects of packing products for shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels for all required packing materials
- Clean and visually inspect products before packing
- Coordinate with final line leads if errors are found
- Label all boxes for all contents
- Move packed product to FQC using a pallet jack
- Log onto corresponding jobs in Epicor and follow all job paperwork and process instructions
Requirements:
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong Excel, E-Mail, Epicor skills required
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidentiality and time management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: None required, previous is helpful
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Work typically takes place in a production warehouse environment requiring: sitting, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, seeing and
- Standing – must be able to work on feet for long periods of time
- Lifting – must know how and be able to lift up to 80 pounds
- Handling – air powered stapler, pallet jack
- Reaching – supplies for packing
- Carrying – supplied for packing and packed products
- Walking - to various manufacturing areas
- Operate a PC and other office equipment
- Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
- Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals
