Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our team in various legal matters, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organized. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in maintaining the workflow of the firm and assisting with case management.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to gather relevant case law and statutes.
- Manage legal case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and deadlines are met.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in cases while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the office.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Previous experience in legal case management is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
