Role Description
As the Managing Director – Business Development (Partner-level), you will drive the firm’s growth by shaping and leading strategic sales and business development initiatives. In this role, you will work directly with client leadership and internal teams to identify new business opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and accelerate sales efforts that align with our mission of delivering measurable impact and innovation.
Your responsibilities will focus on executing business development strategies that drive revenue growth, foster long-term client relationships, and expand Blackberg’s presence in the market. This role requires deep expertise in business development, sales strategy, and client relationship management, particularly within early-stage firms and professional services environments.
Your key responsibilities are as follows:
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities across target industries, creating and executing strategic plans that accelerate revenue growth and market penetration.
- Lead the development and implementation of sales initiatives, go-to-market strategies, and business planning activities that align with long-term firm goals.
- Build and nurture high-impact relationships with key clients, including C-suite executives and decision-makers, ensuring alignment with both their immediate and future business needs.

Key Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, business development, or executive leadership roles, ideally within a professional services or management consulting environment, with a proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth and securing long-term client relationships. Demonstrated expertise in leading business development and sales strategy initiatives at the executive level, particularly within the strategy consulting, technology consulting, or corporate advisory sectors.
- Strong capabilities in strategic planning and the execution of go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable growth and success.
- Extensive experience in client relationship management at the executive or C-suite level, with the ability to cultivate lasting partnerships and drive repeat business.
- Proven ability to lead and close complex sales cycles, from initial engagement through contract negotiation, consistently meeting or exceeding business development targets.
- Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within high-growth industries, including but not limited to technology, financial services, and corporate strategy.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience in building and scaling business development teams, with a focus on recruiting top talent, fostering team growth, and implementing structures to support scalable growth.
