Blend N Concepts is Hiring a 1st Shift Material Handler Near Elk Grove Village, IL
SUMMARY: The Material Handler duties include, but are not limited to, receiving, cycle counting, picking, packing, and/or checking. Starting pay: $15/hr Start time: 6:30am-3:00pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: HS diploma or equivalent.
- Related Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time related experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving: Receives product deliveries Unload shipping containers Scan & Stock product accurately, timely, and neatly in its primary location Utilize hand held scanner
- Picking: Ensure picking accuracy and quantity rate is maintained at established standard. Communicate picking work order issues (out of stock, location) to Material Admins
- Cycle Counting: Complete assigned cycle counts, physical inventories, random or receipt audits and reconciliations.
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies Checking: Evaluates all shipping material for inaccuracies against pick ticket Responsible for completing clerical tasks such as labeling and tagging boxes to prepare for shipment
- Packing: Packs items quickly and properly within the established time limit and standard Operates machines and equipment to assists in packing process
- All Employees: Adhere to all safety, housekeeping guidelines as well as all work rules and policies Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager.
