- Reports to: General Manager
- Shift: Monday-Friday
- Salary range: $145,500k-155,500k
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and execute the master production forecast plan in collaboration with sales, purchasing, operations, inventory, plant leadership and corporate
- Direct management of the hiring, training, performance, coaching and advancement of S&OP team members
- Coordinate with material planning to ensure production forecast is met
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained to meet sales orders
- Review, audit, and approve all production forecast data and reports (daily, weekly, 6 months)
- Continuous focus and monitoring of plant performance and providing insight and recommendations
- Prepare, interpret, and present relevant reporting and analysis to plant and corporate leadership and Business Planning to improve performance and profitability
- Plan and implement improvement actions in Purchasing Planning, Production Planning, and Inventory Control to optimize production efficiency and Production/Inventory cost
- Develop, document, and communicate production planning processes
- Implement process improvements and monitor overall effectiveness of production cycle
- Lead technical initiatives to enhance data analysis, implementing planning software (as needed), and serve as an advocate for data integrity
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, networking, and staying informed of industry trends and leading practices
- Indirect oversight of shipping/receiving personnel at site - ensure proper staffing to receive and distribute materials within the plant in an effective manner
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks as required by policies in the department.
- Notify customer service, production management, quality or other functional areas of issues affecting customer deliveries
- Develop, maintain, evaluate, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Evaluate data, organize, and present to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and savings initiatives
- Support other team members as necessary, cover absences
- Prepare performance evaluation information for your team
- Manage defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the S&OP function
- Communicate and ensure compliance with Blommer established policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:
- General office environment with majority of time using computer
- Regular exposure to plant floor, including noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- Five (5 ) years of experience in a production environment using and industry standard production planning software
- Able to read and write English to perform tasks successfully
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- In depth experience running Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including all aspects of demand and supply planning
- Must be comfortable working in a collaborative purchasing/planning team
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
- Managerial and organizational skills are essential
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite, Excel, and spreadsheets
- Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related field of study)
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP Certifications preferred
