Bloom is currently seeking an entry or staff level (0-2 years of experience) Civil Engineer. Roles will include civil designer, construction inspector, field technician, and survey technician. Daily work will include working with Bloom’s team of design engineers to complete exciting land development, redevelopment, utility, and stormwater design projects for our private and public clients. Skills you will have the opportunity to learn include Civil 3D design, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, construction inspection and cost estimating, field data collection, and survey.

Job Description
Assist, under the direction of Bloom leadership, in all civil infrastructure design tasks required for each unique project. This is dependent upon skill level and experience, but may include:
- Conducting site visits and general data collection efforts to support the design.
- Designing civil utilities: water distribution networks, storm water management and sewers, and sanitary sewers.
- Designing civil site features: (roads, sidewalks, and other site features to support the overall site plan).
- Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and other site utility designs.
- Drafting, reviewing, and/or finalizing stormwater management plans including water quality and quantity calculations and/or modeling.
- Developing grading plans to support the overall site plan objectives.
- Contributing to all project deliverables in a team setting. This may include: plans, specifications, permits, and design reports. Civil plans may include: existing conditions, traffic control, erosion control, demolition, site layout, grading, utility plans and profiles, and details.
- Interact and communicate effectively with Bloom leadership and design team members.
- Participate in Bloom’s mentor/mentee culture
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to work independently or in team setting to complete all assigned project design tasks
- Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Software experience: Civil 3D
- EIT Certification, or willing to obtain
