Duties

In this role you will provide customer service and administrative support on the Bloomsbury Academic and Professional Division's inboxes including the processing of complimentary exam, desk, and review copies as well as submitting books for awards, and answering general inquiries. The Customer Service Assistant also excerpts published reviews and enters into various databases.

Requirements

Required :

  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive attitude, team player, and customer-focused approach

Desired :

  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Experience working with FreshDesk or similar ticketing software, administrative systems and / or databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Word
  • Location

    All candidates must reside within travel distance of the Maryland or New York offices on a hybrid-remote schedule.

    Compensation

    The anticipated gross base range is listed for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and location.
